Dr. Sagar Ballal ( Mbbs ; MS ; Mch ; DrNB ) is a consultant Brain and surgeon ( Neurosurgeon ) trained at the prestigious Sree Chitra Tirunal institute of Medical sciences and technology ( an Institute of National Importance) , Trivandrum .. Over the past four years, he has performed more than 700 brain and spine surgeries — from Trauma neurosurgery for which he was trained at NIMHANS , Bengaluru ,complex pediatric cases including complex tumor cases , hydrocephalus , spina bifida . He has also attained training in complex skull base cases including pituitary macroadenomas, craniopharyngiomas , complex vascular cases including aneurysms and AVMs .

In addition to this he operates on Trigeminal neuralgia , normal pressure hydrocephalus of the elderly , and chronic subdural hematomas

In addition he has been part of many Epilepsy surgeries , awake Tumor surgeries.

Dr Ballal also operates on spine cases including cervical OPLL , Lumbar disc herniations and spinal cord Tumors , spinal fractures requiring instrumentation.
